About me.

Hello and welcome! My name is Chelsea and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Arizona. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Arizona State University in 2014. I worked as a mental health crisis responder after graduating from ASU. I have been working as a therapist with adults, teens, and children for the past three years. My area of focus is trauma and I am certified in EMDR. I am also trained in DBT which focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. I have worked with a wide range of individuals and I am passionate about helping people create a life worth living.

My approach is focused in relationship building and trust because I recognize the value of connection in the healing journey. As a therapist, I welcome feedback from individuals and want to create a safe environment.

A little more about me - I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and moved to Arizona in 2011. I love to travel, read, and spend time outdoors as much as possible with my partner and our dog Mario.

Dandelions are known for their resilience and growing in the hard places. They are fighters. They are the ones that grow in the cracks. This is what I want to teach and foster - growth despite hardship.

FAQs

How do I start?

If you feel like I might be a good fit for you on your healing journey the first step is to reach out by email or phone. Once you make contact we can schedule a 15 minute consultation call where we can discuss any questions you might have about services.

Do you provide in person services?

I provide both virtual and in person services. For my in person services I maintain COVID safety protocols including wearing masks and cleaning surfaces in my office. I value the health and safety of my clients and their families and want to make sure that they stay healthy and well while we work on healing.

What is your approach to therapy?

Relationships. I value the relationship first because trust is important in a therapeutic space. I want you to feel comfortable having me be present in your healing journey. Once the relationship is established I typically use a mixture of skills work and trauma focused therapy (EMDR). I like to make sure that my clients have adequate skills to handle the stressors that might come up while we work on the more difficult wounds to heal.
